If you are ever in London looking for an off the beaten path activity, I highly recommend one of Paul Talling’s Derelict London or London’s Lost Rivers walks. He leads 1-2 tours almost every weekend throughout the year. I was able to join him for his Bow Creek walk recently, and along with the interesting scenery, he is a great storyteller and knows his London history.
The photo above was taken at an abandoned rocket factory in Canning, and is where the rockets were built that bombed Fort McHenry the night the Star Spangled Banner was written. As an American, it was surreal to stand outside the shell of this factory and take in this bit of history!
